Fairview-Riverside State Park
This State Park is in an
excellent location and just a short drive from Interstate 12 in
Madisonville, Louisiana. The State Park is just across the river
from Old Town Madisonville in
Saint
Tammany Parish. There are several nice restaurants, a
museum and a snowball stand. I put the snowball stand in this
description because people from up north and other areas never herd
of snowball stands. If you have never had one then you owe it to
yourself to get one. You have about 50 flavors to choose from and
prices start as low as $1. I always get the jumbo size which is
about $2.50 depending on what you want on it.

This is the nicest
cypress tree that I have seen here at Fairview
Riverside State Park. It is probably over 50 years old. If you are a
photographer you will find that there are several other angles that
you can capture a picture of this tree. It would make a beautiful
picture to turn into black and white and frame it. |
